Florist wire is the least visible part of the range and the part a shop runs out of first. The section covers stub wires in the full gauge range, reel and rose wire, paper covered bindwire, aluminium and decorative wires, and the flat rings and frames that wreath work is built on. Gauge matters more than anything else: heavy stub wires support a stem, fine reel wire binds without bulk, and bindwire grips against a stem under tension because of the paper covering rather than the metal.
